01About GYC Africa
Young people. One mission. A whole continent.
GYC Africa is a missionary movement of students and young professionals who live in the light of Christ's soon return. We gather once a year to study, pray and train. Then we go out to serve in communities, schools and university campuses across Africa.
We are a supporting ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, a GYC affiliate ministry and an ASI member.

ARISE.
From 3 to 7 July 2026, about 1,300 young Adventists from 18 countries met in Lusaka. They worshipped, studied the Bible, prayed together and took the gospel into the city.

ONE
Adventist University of Africa, Nairobi, Kenya
The first GYC Africa Conference. 17 countries represented and 1,292 baptisms reported from mission sites in Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia.

MUCH MORE
Babcock University, Nigeria
About 1,400 young people attended. Outreach went to markets, prisons, hospitals and orphanages, and 23 surgeries were performed.

Lusaka, Zambia
About 1,300 delegates from 18 countries. Mission work before and after the conference reported 357 baptisms.

05GYC Africa missions
The conference lasts five days. The mission goes on all year.
Before and after each conference, mission teams go to rural communities and university campuses. They hold evangelistic meetings, visit homes, share literature, serve people’s needs and lead Bible studies. In 2026, that work served more than 5,690 people.
